And Then?

Hope you have read, understood and began to adopt the uniqueness of using all 4 Principles mapping against "The Thought Process".
And, really, if you read a lot, you'd notice that it is practised globally...probably in a slight different manner using slight different terms but generally, in the same approach. On the 1st page of the Star Metro Classifieds section in The Star Newspaper, always run articles about improvements which was the source of "An Article A Day"...Knowing the principles but without practicing it, really doesn't make you any different...Talk is cheap...you can say whatever but it shows in the results of your work...just take the comic strip above as an example.
'
Although I can type words after words... It really will only be just words if nobody reads them. It will only be just words if even after reading, nobody understands them and it will only be just words if it's easily understood but nobody applies them...it could be a waste of your precious time even reading them... I've actually touched the surface of today's subject "And Then?" in "Wake Up!" but, I wish now that I have gone into more details sooner...a lot of misfortune & emotional stress could've been avoided...
'
I've use this phrase "And Then?" many many many times during my days in G2...up till a point where the guys immediately know what I will say by just giving them "The Look"..."And Then?"...
'
Like I mentioned before, this blog is not about the nation's politics but I got this quote from some very unhappy member of a political party where the leader wears a hair-piece that looks worse than Donald Trump, "What does he want to do in another year that he could not achieve over the last 30years?".
'
In my opinion, that comment is very relevant as that particular leader have really done nothing new or different for the longest time...instead of progress...it's regress...nose diving the party into more trouble...hehehe...I guess, that is the difference between me and "him".
During the last few months in G2BAT last year, I pushed everyone very hard (Even those from other departments) to step up and improve so that they can stand firmly on their own two feet when I leave the organisation...not to say that I'm that important...but, unfortunately, most of them missed the plot, things have got out of control since...worst when some of them use to report directly to me...
'
I question so that they "Think" AND THEN, they "Think" some more...I could've save a lot of Effort, Energy and avoid Emotional stress by just telling them the answer, telling them what to do...but I know for a fact, it will not work as they will become dependent...lazy even... Therefore, taking the pain to go through it every single time so that they "Think" AND THEN, hopefully, they "Learn" by themselves as "Leading By Example" obviously doesn't work...
What is "And Then?" and how to use "And Then?".
'
"And then?" actually starts after an incomplete answer is given to a question.
'
"And Then?" is also a result when one did not apply the principles with The Complete Thought Process."And Then?" is not just about "Questioning" and "Thinking", especially forcing others to do the "Thinking" for you. Worst, when you question others without providing directions, ideas or solutions.
'
"And Then?" is about finding the answer or solution and upon completion it should be followed by "After That?"...Know this, "There is always something better", therefore, never be complacent...always challenge yourself to do better and move further by Thinking Further and Deeper. If you are a long term WWE Wrestling fan, you should notice how they improve and improvise, almost every week in order to keep the WWE Universe excited and maintain their interest to continue following the progress of each character. The billion dollar franchise has WWE RAW, WWE Smackdown!, WWE ECW, WWE Magazine, WWE Toys, WWE Websites, WWE Movies, built Superstars like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, John Cena...just to name a few... That is why, people like Bill Gates, Donald Trump and Vince McMahon are so successful, they continue to think further...probably constantly asking themselves..."And Then?".
'
You probably don't know this...every single time when I ask "And Then?", I've already have the ultimate answer to that initial question through my experience & knowledge...of course, using my principles mapping against "The Thought Process".
Therefore, there's always a solution, a conclusion upon completion of probing deeper. An end to that conversation or interaction. Rather than leaving it open ended...

'

Do always remember, no matter how you operate, whether you want to adopt the principles and the Thought Process from this blog or not, there is one important step that you must not forget, just like writing an email, always read it again and again to check the content, And Then, ask yourself whether you've missed any important point.

'
Ask yourself this question..."Do you have a better way to improve yourself?"...AND THEN? What are you waiting for?
Some of my words are very negative lately...only when I think about how some of you operates (Especially on the things I've heard...). Looking at it positively, It only confirms that I have a lot to improve on...because after all, I'm not perfect, I am still only me, a Chun Toi with Cracks.
'
P/S: "And Then?" is a special dedication to you, you, you, you, you and you...you should know who "You" are...

Words From The Big Kahuna

This is a very easy post as most of it is a Cut and Paste job...I actually received this email from my sister a couple of weeks back...it's quotes from the big kahuna, multi-billionaire, almost genius, Bill Gates. He recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.
'
Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it! (Life is also tough...)
'
Rule 2: The world doesn't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself. (That is why, self-realisation and self-motivation is very important.)
'
Rule 3
: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. (Ahem...a boss like Eddie ChunToiCracks Soo...hehehe...)
'
Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity. (Opportunity for better things in Life)
'
Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them. (And don't use the Chinese Martial Art - Tai Chi by blaming others)
'
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room. (You should read more about under-privileged children in other parts of the world and start to appreciate your parents as well as what you have...)
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
'
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time...
'
Rule 10: Television is NOT real life... In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs... (Even Reality Shows are scripted and staged...)
'
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.
Although there are some really harsh words by Mr. Gates but in my opinion, he definitely nailed it...it is the harsh reality of the real world we are in. Those words also summarise a lot of the post on this blog...in a different mode but in the same direction.
'
It is very competitive and demanding in the Advertising Industry...if you cannot make the "Adjustment" and get use to it...you really don't belong here. Take the advice from "Work Smart...Hard", Work-Life-Balance is earned, not demanded. The sooner you realise it, the better. Or else, get out while you still can...
'
Hanging around with the approach of "Just Doing Enough To Get By" will only bring you so far...if at all anywhere...People, "Wake Up!" already!!!
'
Here, I have two veru fitting quotes from Bill Gates, "I believe that if you show people the problems and you show them the solutions, they will be moved to act." and "It's fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.".
Maybe you can claim that Mr. Gates is Old School like this blogger but he has made it in his own terms...but without a doubt, he has made it. I know that I'll never be anywhere close to his success but I will strive very hard to be successful in my own ways...after all, I am still me, a Chun Toi with Cracks.
